DULi Beijing Is Hiring a Front-of-House Supervisor

DULi Beijing has been open for three and a half months, and we are looking for a colleague to help lead our front-of-house team.

Essential experience: hands-on operations in restaurants, hotels or retail—not only marketing. Relevant roles include hotel team leader, restaurant floor supervisor or retail store manager. We have received excellent applications from other fields, but restaurant work has its own demands: repetition, a wide range of guests and physically demanding days. You should also have managed a team of more than two people; this role will coordinate five to seven full-time and part-time colleagues. There are no gender or age requirements.

A few things that would help: good English, as international guests account for around 40–50% of our customers. At the time of this post, one month-long embassy collaboration was confirmed and another was in discussion. An interest in food matters too, as plant-based dining is still a niche field in China. An appreciation of natural wine is welcome, as is an interest in understanding how marketing activities translate into day-to-day business.

What we offer: six working days and one day off each week, with the day off outside the weekend; meals and accommodation if needed; and a monthly salary of CNY 8,000–10,000. Days off can be accumulated, with public holidays worked and leave taken together during quieter periods such as winter and Lunar New Year. We are proud of the variety and creativity of our Beijing events, and the original post also announced plans for overseas pop-ups starting the following year.
