DULi opened on Donghu Road in Shanghai in August 2020, with a mission to serve plant-based food without compromise.
We want to create original food with bold flavours that surprises and delights, whether you are vegan or a meat lover.
The ‘Du’ in DULi stands for Chengdu: much of our inspiration comes from Sichuan cooking. ‘Li’ represents delicious grains.
Our fusion menu mixes Chinese and international ingredients in dishes with distinct regional roots and plenty of layers: mapo tofu hummus, tom yum wonton soup and vegan tiramisu, among others. DULi was named Vegetarian Restaurant of the Year by That’s Shanghai every year from 2020 to 2024.
Our Beijing restaurant is in the Friendship Store compound, where we have given a 1970s building a new life. We are bringing Shanghai’s best-loved dishes and our pet-friendly welcome. Doors open on Friday, April 18, at 17:00. Respect vegetables!
